Blue Tongue Skink
INCLUDED IN ZOOTOPIAN / ZOOLANDER CAMP
Blue-tongued skinks are medium-sized lizards native to Australia, New Guinea, and parts of Indonesia. Known for their distinctive bright blue tongues, these skinks use that striking feature to startle predators when threatened. They are ground dwellers that prefer warm, open habitats such as grasslands, woodlands, and suburban gardens.
Blue-tongued skinks are omnivores, feeding on a mix of fruits, vegetables, insects, and small animals. Their sturdy bodies and calm temperaments make them one of the most popular pet lizards in the world. Despite their tough appearance, they are gentle and slow-moving, often becoming quite tame and personable when handled regularly.

Boa Constrictor
INCLUDED IN ZOOTOPIAN / ZOOLANDER CAMP
Boa constrictors are large, non-venomous snakes native to Central and South America. They thrive in tropical forests, savannas, and near rivers, where they hunt small mammals and birds. Instead of venom, they use powerful constriction to subdue prey.
Typically ranging from 6 to 13 feet long, these snakes are known for their beautiful brown and tan patterns that help them blend into their surroundings. Once hunted for their skin, boa constrictors are now often kept as exotic pets and used in educational programs for their calm nature and impressive size. |

Cool Bearded Dragons
INCLUDED IN ZOOTOPIAN / ZOOLANDER CAMP
Bearded dragons originate from deserts in Australia, with the various species occupying slightly overlapping areas of the landmass. They live in the arid and subtropical woodlands, scrublands, savannas, shore areas, and into the great interior deserts.
Their range extends throughout the interior of the eastern states to the eastern half of South Australia and southeastern Northern Territory. They are considered to be semi-arboreal and will quite readily climb and bask at height. This is also linked to dominance behaviour and competition for territory/basking areas. |

Cute Guinea Pigs
INCLUDED IN ZOOTOPIAN / ZOOLANDER CAMP
Despite their common name, Guinea Pigs are not in the pig family, nor do they come from Guinea in Africa. The origin of their name is still unclear; but they originated in the Andes of South America.
Their docile nature; friendly, even affectionate, responsiveness to handling and feeding; and the relative ease of caring for them have made and continue to make guinea pigs a popular choice of pet.
NOTE: The color markings or particular breed of the animals may vary by location. |
